We just bought a home that sits on about a half an acre. There’s a creek near my home and it’s got lots of trees/shrubs/grass outside the lot while my yards have a tree or two each, so bugs, especially mosquitoes, are prevalent. I’m considering outside mosquito control if possible but I don’t really want to spray my yard with insecticide and kill the other types of insects and bugs that live there or poison the birds and squirrels. Are there any alternatives that work for this? I want to let the dogs and kids play outside and be able to mow my grass without being completely eaten up.

I’ve seen those diffuser looking machines but they only have a 20’ radius at best and that’s assuming they work the way they’re advertised.
