Should I tell my interviewers that I applied to another position at same company? An external recruiter submitted me for a temp position at a firm. The same day, after going over initial details, I looked into the company and applied directly on the firm's career site for a permanent, better paying legal position. The next day, my recruiter told me that the firm wants to interview me soon for the temp position. HR sent me the interview invite, but the interview is with the temp team lead and one of the firm's general counsel rather than the HR team. I'm assuming HR can see both the internal and external applications; however, since the interview isn't with HR, is it inappropriate to mention my other application and interest in that position as well?
