Just bought 8.5 acres of forested land and found this tree toward the front of our property line. I admittedly know nothing about trees but something about the bark splitting like that seems wrong? There is also some webbing covering the exposed part of the trunk that looks like it could be from pests. Googling hasn’t been helpful so far, says webbing can be beneficial but it doesn’t look the same.

Is this something I need to call an arborist for? The tree runs directly along our power lines so I am worried about eventually falling or if it’s pests spreading to our other trees.
