Netflix misspells a lead Devil May Cry character's name and has to recall official merchandise

Image credit: Netflix They say the Devil is in the details, but it seems someone missed that memo, as Netflix has had to remove a Devil May Cry T-shirt from its official storefront, after misspelling Vergil's name. The first season of Netflix's Devil May Cry animated series , which is based on Capcom's games of the same name, arrived on the service in April last year. It was enough of a hit that a second Devil May Cry season was given the greenlight just a week after the first season debuted. However, there were those who felt Netflix hadn't done some of the Devil May Cry characters justice in the show and didn't understand the source material. Netflix probably hasn't done itself any favours boosting confidence within certain Devil May Cry circles by advertising and then quickly yoinking a T-shirt from sale that misspelled the name of one of the series' main characters.
