The 2026 Dunedin Relay for Life will fill Forsyth Barr stadium with life and laughter, as about 1200 people come together for the giant community event in support of the Cancer Society. Excitement is high among local Cancer Society Southern team members, who are expecting a big turnout for the two-yearly Dunedin Relay for Life, to be held this Saturday from 10am-10pm at the stadium. Cancer Society Southern community funding-campaign lead Emma Anderson said 124 teams involving about 1200 people had signed up to participate in the event, which aimed to celebrate cancer survivors and carers, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back by raising awareness and funds.
