I'm currently doing my BS in Geology at a uni in southern India. I'm looking to so my Masters in Texas as I've heard that there's a lot of universities which specialize in mining and petroleum geology.

I'm currently in a lock because the minor subjects which i had chose other than my major were Chemistry and Computer sciences. However, most universities usually want either physics or mathematics background. I have a physics background from high school. Would that suffice? Also, would the fact that I'm not american be a problem?
