I am playing Pokémmo and other earlier games like Heartgold on my old GBA and DS

I want to make mawile work.

I am new to Pokémon but I adore this Pokémon alot and have her in Pokémon Go, Pokémmo and the game on DS where you are in the Hoenn region.

However I tried to raise different teams and they are not working out great.

Why is everybody playing her like a sweeper? And why is there no content to bade form mawile pre 6 gen?

I thought that a pivot mawile would be her best role or to switch into hazards like poison spikes and stealthrock since she has resistance and immunity?

I still don't know what her role is but from what I saw she is a Pokémon that wants to trap the opponent?

Are moves like attract and substitute good?

Plus help me build a team around her :(
