A day after the 49ers tight end boasted about killing an arachnid that had invaded his bathroom and scared his wife, PETA condemned the seven-time Pro Bowler for his actions. “Spiders are tiny compared to the average human, let alone an NFL player, and have a lot more to fear from us than we do from them, so there’s no need for unnecessary roughness,” PETA senior vice president Lisa Lange said in a statement to The California Post on Thursday.
