Lego’s next big and pricey set is for all you Lord of the Rings fans out there. The company revealed its upcoming Minas Tirith set that features over 8,000 pieces and nine minifigs, making it one of the biggest Lego sets released in years and the largest Lord of the Rings-themed set from the company yet. On May 12, Lego announced its upcoming Minas Tirith set (11377) , which the company describes as a “hybrid microscale and minifigure-scale design.” It’s an interesting, but effective way to display the full scale of the large capital city while also letting people explore a few key locations of Minas Tirith, such as the throne room as it appeared in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
