Paul McCartney has joined forces with Ringo Starr for “Home to Us,” the pair’s first duet. The song appears on McCartney’s upcoming album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane . Per Paul McCartney , there was a misunderstanding during the collaborative process between Ringo Starr and producer Andrew Watt. The situation reportedly left Ringo “a bit pissed,” but McCartney was able to turn Starr’s contribution into a song about growing up in Liverpool. Apparently, there were even more misunderstandings when McCartney sent the demo to Starr, who initially only recorded vocals for the chorus. McCartney assumed the gesture meant Starr didn’t like the song at all, but the two legends were able to clear the air, and Starr returned to the studio to lay down more drums.
