Realized that my SSD was installed onto the wrong M.2 slot yesterday. Is it okay to leave it as is? How do I safely remove the thermal pad from it?

is there some kind of technique i need to use to remove it or is it fine to just peel it off from one end? like i said, i installed it yesterday, so i assume it's extra sticky right now? i contemplated leaving it but i'm concerned that this'll somehow effect the bios update i need to do...

background: first build, not really sure what i'm doing lol (😭)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

MB: Asus ROG Strix B650-A

SSD: Crucial P310 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe 2280

text from pg. 1-10 of the motherboard manual:

"• AMD Ryzen 7000 series Desktop Processors:

- M.2_1 slot supports PCIe 5.0 x4 mode M key design and type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices.

- M.2_2 slot supports PCIe 4.0 x4 mode M key design and type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices."

(it's currently sitting in M.2_1)
