Amazon continues to bet on romance. The streamer has picked up Elsie Silver’s popular Rose Hill romance saga for a series adaptation with Heidi Cole McAdams set as showrunner, it revealed during Monday’s upfront presentation. Marc Webb is directing the pilot and second episode, and Temple Hill is producing. “Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill novels have resonated with millions of readers by blending sweeping romance with grounded, emotionally complex relationships,” Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios said in a statement. “It’s a world where love, loyalty, and identity collide in ways that feel both intimate and expansive.
