Woodworking History: Reemergence I was recently digging for some information when I stumbled upon an old lawsuit between Woodsmith Magazine and Merideth Publishing (home of Wood Magazine). It was then that I had the sudden realization that almost every major woodworking publication was founded within 10 years of each other. Fine Woodworking was founded in 1975, followed by Woodsmith in 1978, Popular Woodworking (originally Pacific Woodworker ) in 1981, Wood Magazine in 1984, and American Woodworker in 1985.…
