DJs Fatboy Slim and Sonny Fodera will headline the dance-focused first day of BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend when it heads to Sunderland this year. The opening day will also see Australian producer FISHER, Birmingham-born singer Clementine Douglas and American DJ MK take to the main stage. The annual music festival will take place in the city's Herrington Country Park from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 May. Tickets for the first day went on sale at 09:00 GMT, with local residents getting priority. Fatboy Slim has become a staple on the UK music festival circuit, with setlists full of crowd-pleasing hits like Praise You, Right Here, Right Now and The Rockafeller Skank.
