Thanks to Prada 2 ‘s $76.7 million opening and Lionsgate’s Michael holding over with a second weekend of $54.4M, this is the second-best start of summer since Covid, with all films totaling $173.1M, per ComScore. The best summer kickoff post-Covid remains 2022, when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness led all titles with $222.3M.
