California is one step closer to allowing local Disney fans to turn their vehicles into rolling tributes to Mickey, Minnie and Co. State Treasurer Fiona Ma announced Tuesday a new public-private partnership to create a Disneyland-themed specialized license plate that would raise funds for children’s hospitals across the state. The plate is being developed in collaboration with Disneyland Resort , the California Children’s Hospital Association and the California Health Facilities Financing Authority. It still needs final DMV approval and must reach a minimum of 7,500 preorders before production can begin. The California State Treasurer’s Office is teaming up with Disneyland Resort for a specialized Disney license plate.
