As I wait for shipping, I am thinking about strings. I have a semi-hollow with Ernie flats, the strings are soft and quiet, and it plays well. It's a single humbucker, so as much as I like it the sound is what it is. I'm really new, so I'm excited to hear another setup. Since I've got a solid-body with PJ pickups on the way, I want to flex and make that my rock setup. I really like the smoothness and playability of my flats, but know rounds have the sound I want.
