For those who don't know, Markos was the man behind Big Dogs and ProRaw, as well as many other competitions in Australia. He knew more about the history of the sport than ANYBODY, and was just as excited about modern lifters too. Powerlifting in this country wouldn't be close to what it is now without his contributions.

Aside from that, he was a kind man with children and grandchildren. His home is close to mine and I loved seeing him out walking with his wife and dog. Markos had an interesting walk.

Anyway, just felt like he deserved a post here. A real legend of the sport that not many people worldwide are aware of.
