Hovvdy will release a new album, Big World , on August 14th via Arts & Crafts . The follow-up to the Austin duo’s 2024 self-titled LP follows their relocation to Nashville and reflects a simpler songwriting ethos, Charlie Martin said in a press release. “The last record felt like such a generous offering: a double-album, deeply personal, you can literally hear me crying on some songs,” said Martin. “With this one, we wanted to take on the challenge of making something more concise and to the point, and give the fans something that feels like a shorter but more exciting ride.” Hear it for yourself below, in the DIY video for the single “Try Try Try,” shot live by director Michael Rees with a few beers in a home rehearsal setup.
