Online discourse surrounding Ferrari's Luce EV has been divisive to say the least. The brand's first EV is a big moment. Ferrari brought in famed Apple designer Jony Ive to design the car, working with an outside design house. It's something the brand hasn't exactly been rewarded for doing, with reactions to the automaker ranging from simple dislike for the design to comparisons to vehicles worth a fraction of the Luce's deep six-figure pricing. Nissan Ireland shared the above image on its social media channels after online chatter compared the Luce's shape to the Leaf, Nissan's $30,000 economy EV. The brand said it was "flattered" in its post, but the comparison is certainly a reach. Maybe at a good hundred feet the two might look similar, but in defense of Ive's design, there's a bit more going on with the Luce.
