The truth is that the Terra Blade is not a Moonlord-worthy weapon. The Christmas Tree sword is way better vs Duke Fishron. Flying Dragon has immensely better kill times. Influx Waver has a lot more DPS. Flairon and North Pole have great crowd control and great single target damage. And Possessed hatchet is easier to aim. If you've been using Terra Blade and switch to any of these post-Golem weapons, you'll notice you're killing things way faster. Except... Terra Blade is affected by melee speed increases, which most projectile weapons aren't. And, hitting with the actual blade does way more damage since both blade and projectile are hitting. So when you see experts using Terra Blade until Moonlord, it's because they're using the scale mail with 45% melee speed boosts and double stacking Fire Gauntlet and Mechanical Glove as well as Celestial Shell.
