As I've gotten older and being single, I've realised that I can only really feel relaxed and at peace when I live in my own space, completely alone with my cats. That's not to say that I don't eventually want to find a partner, but it is to say that I prefer to sleep alone and have my own space. As an autistic person, I really need consistency and routine to function properly and the idea of having someone else's mess or routines interrupting my space sounds horribly stressful to me. I also need total space to decompress and relax my nervous system. I've recently started dating again, with an open mind for where things may go. But I'm coming to realise that this living apart together thing may not be all that common in the lesbian community. Does anyone else here live alone together? Or has tried it? How do you find it? How did it affect dating prospects? submitted by /u/Ill-Green8678 [link] [comments]
