It isn’t likely that the often-misquoted line from the 1989 film “Field of Dreams” was echoing in Oregon baseball head coach Mark Wasikowski’s head Monday morning as he answered questions about the Ducks’ forthcoming NCAA regional at PK Park. But PK Park in 2026 is a very different-looking place than it was when Wasikowski left Purdue, his first head-coaching job, to return to Eugene in 2020. He worked as an assistant under former coach George Horton for four seasons (2012-16), but Wasikowski’s return and guiding hand brought on some of the biggest changes for Oregon baseball, both on and off the field.
