Over 20,000 Jeep and Dodge EVs Recalled Over Safety Display Failure

Drivers of newer Jeep and Dodge models may want to take a closer look at their dashboards. Stellantis has issued a recall impacting more than 20,000 vehicles after identifying a defect that could prevent critical safety information from appearing on the instrument panel—raising concerns about increased crash risk. The issue centers on a faulty instrument cluster in certain 2024–2025 models, including the Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger EV. According to a notice filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration , the affected systems may fail to display essential details such as gear position, warning lights, and other alerts that drivers rely on while operating the vehicle. In total, 20,271 units are included in the recall, split between 11,743 Jeep Wagoneer S vehicles and 8,528 Dodge Charger EVs. Stellantis opened an investigation into the issue on March 10 and identified on April 1 that certain vehicles may have a defect related to the instrument panel display system.…
