The BAFTA TV Awards are underway Sunday afternoon at London’s Royal Festival Hall and Adolescence duo Owen Cooper and Christine Tremarco plus The Celebrity Traitors are the first big winners. The grandest night in British TV unfolds over the next three hours as some of the biggest stars around the world including Colin Firth , Aimee Lou Wood , Taron Egerton and Matt Smith go head-to-head. Netflix’s Adolescence dominates the nominations and has 11 including five for its acting talent – Stephen Graham , Ashley Walters, Cooper, Tremarco, and Erin Doherty – along with being nommed in the coveted Limited Drama category. Cooper and Tremarco were the first two winners in the supporting actor and actress categories. Tremarco pulled a bit of a surprise beating Adolescence co-star Doherty. Doherty and Wood are both nommed in two different categories, the former for Disney+’s A Thousand Blows , which has numerous nominations. Firth, Smith and Egerton face off in a crowded Leading Actor category.…
