It changed everything I perceived about how I use my time and what I use it for. Way back when, a young Holiday worked as an apprentice under the master of dark human psychology and author of The 48 Laws of Power, Robert Greene. Greene introduced Ryan to two different types of time: alive time and dead time. Greene said: “One is when you sit around, when you wait until things happen to you. The other is when you are in control, when you make every second count, when you are learning and improving and growing.” Sitting around and waiting for things to happen to you = dead time.
