With the dust settling from the 2026 NHL Draft Lottery, the New York Rangers now know where they will be selecting in the NHL Draft at the end of June. Following a terrible campaign in which they came in last place of the Eastern Conference, the Rangers finished with the third-worst record in the league and undoubtedly were hoping to land the first overall pick with an 11.5% chance. Unfortunately, the ping pong balls were not in their favor on Tuesday, and New York ended up with the worst possible pick they could have gotten at fifth overall.
