European natural gas prices fluctuated after President Donald Trump said the US will begin guiding some neutral ships trapped in the Persian Gulf out through the Strait of Hormuz.

Benchmark futures fell as much as 2.8%, before erasing those losses and climbing 0.5%. Prices remain at an elevated level after advancing for the past two weeks.
