Getting Things Done (GTD®) by David Allen is an all-encompassing productivity methodology that takes care of all aspects of life. Every other method is pretty much an alternate version or a sub-version of David's. That is a harsh fact hard to swallow, but it is what it is. David suggests a bottom-up approach. That means that it all starts with CONTROL. Control references the five principles that are meant to keep us in excellent operation. It gives us a framework to deal with the ever-coming, always-increasing inventory of "stuff". The principles are capture, process, organize, reflect, and engage. Capture is about handling the spiral of stuff surrounding us or coming our way. By default, capture everything into appropriate input systems, which David calls "In" baskets.
