Dominique Malonga bounces back, but Storm fall to expansion Tempo

Dominique Malonga bounced back from a foul-prone performance in her last outing and tied her season high with 21 points, but the Storm faltered in the final minutes and lost 86-73 in their first-ever matchup against the expansion Toronto Tempo at Coco-Cola Coliseum. Stefanie Dolson had 16 point and three rebounds while Jade Melbourne added 14 points, six assists and three steals off the bench for Seattle (1-2). Malonga had more fouls (four) than field goals (two) during Sunday’s 89-82 road win against the Connecticut Sun. She converted nine of 19 shots, including two three-pointers and had seven rebounds Wednesday in Toronto. The Storm led 45-44 at halftime and lost control of the game in the third quarter when they were outscored 23-17. Seattle closed to within four points midway in the fourth quarter when Marina Mabrey (26 points) drained a couple of three-pointers that put the Tempo up 81-71 with four minutes left.…
