Published 10:06 am Friday, May 1, 2026 Deschutes County Commissioner candidate Ron Boozell was arrested for trespassing at a candidate forum at Open Space Event Studios in Bend Thursday night. Bend Police received a call that Boozell was “causing a disturbance,” said Lieutenant Aaron Wells. He had been asked to leave the event. Boozell told officers he knew he had been asked to leave and would only do so if he was arrested, Wells said. Officers arrested him for trespassing and Boozell was booked in Deschutes County Jail. The event was part of a series featuring candidates running for office and focused on housing. Boozell was not invited to participate. Boozell was previously arrested in 2018 for contempt of court, after being ordered to serve a 90-day sentence for nonpayment of child support. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail in March 2017 for refusing to pay a child support judgment from 2004.…
