Bonnie Tyler's close friend has spoken out after the singer was placed into an induced coma to aid her recovery following emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal.
It was revealed last week that the 74-year-old was rushed into a hospital near her home in Faro for the procedure and was recuperating.
ITV reported on Tuesday (12 May) that Tyler went into cardiac arrest when doctors tried to bring her out of an induced coma following surgery for a burst appendix.
Tyler's close friend Liberto Mealha told the broadcaster that doctors are "positive," but "so far, it's not that good."
The Independent has reached out to Tyler’s representatives for comment.
