‘A Capitol Fourth’ Moves A Day Earlier To Kickoff America’s 250th Weekend; Trace Adkins To Debut New Song

The annual concert event A Capitol Fourth will move to a day earlier, on July 3, as part of a kickoff of weekend celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States. The event on the west lawn of the Capitol, to air on public television stations, also will feature Trace Adkins who will debut his new song American Made , celebrating patriotism and achievements of Americans. A Capitol Fourth: 250th Weekend Celebration will air at 8 p.m. ET to 9:30 p.m. ET. In addition to PBS and other stations, the event will air on Armed Forces Network. It will be available on YouTube and video-on-demand from July 3 to July 17. The full lineup has yet to be announced, but the concert also will feature Jack Everly with the National Symphony Orchestra.
