Nintendo announced its latest financial results overnight, giving us a huge wealth of data on sales of both hardware and games over the first year of the new console. With just shy of 20 million Switch 2s sold since last June and almost 50 million games, it’s hard to view the launch as anything other than a massive success, but Nintendo is still responding with a big price rise and a lowering of its sales forecasts. With all data accurate as of March 31, 2026, Nintendo has revealed just what a phenomenon the Switch 2 has been in its first nine months, announcing 19.86 million worldwide sales for the console, accompanied by 48.71 million software sales.
