Athletics to call up hot-hitting Aviators OF prospect Henry Bolte

Outfielder Henry Bolte, the A’s No. 5 prospect, is heading to the Show after putting up video game numbers for the Las Vegas Aviators in May. Sources confirmed Monday that the Athletics are calling up Bolte, and he’ll join the club ahead of their series against the St. Louis Cardinals in West Sacramento. Since the calendar turned, he’s hitting .595 with five home runs and six stolen bases. His hot bat earned him Pacific Coast League player of the week honors, as well. The A’s second-round draft pick in 2022, Bolte after Sunday leads all minor or major leaguers in runs. Across all levels, he’s tied with the Miami Marlins’ Otto Lopez for most hits (55) and with former A’s first baseman Matt Olson in total bases (104). “He’s just a special talent, and he’s putting it all together,” Aviators manager Fran Riordan said. “At the dish, on the bases, he’s an absolute terror, and he’s getting more comfortable in center field.” Though Las Vegas struggled last week, dropping five of six to the St.…
