First time home buyer here, bought a new construction home a few months ago that was finished in November. Just a few weeks to a month ago I noticed what looked like scrapes along the piece of aluminum that is below the last line of siding and into the ground. Noticed one spot that looked like it had a small hole and I honestly thought maybe the weed trimmer had scraped it. Then I go back today and take a look and it seems like it's gotten worse and some of the holes are much bigger. Haven't mowed in two weeks so it can't be any additional physical damage.

It's a slab foundation home in the Midwest and it's much worse on the back of the home the one side doesn't have any of these holes and the other side just has a few.
