Las Vegas police arrest 2nd suspect in man’s killing near Boulder Highway

A second person has been arrested in connection with the killing of a man in southeast Las Vegas earlier this month. Quin’Marion Washington, 18, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Tuesday and remained there as of Wednesday afternoon, according to online jail records. A Metropolitan Police Department arrest report for Washington accuses him and two others of fatally shooting Victor Powe, 59, on April 10 in the 5700 block of Missouri Avenue near Boulder Highway. Another suspect, 19-year-old Elijah Harris, was arrested April 17, according to police. Washington and Harris each face charges of open murder and attempted robbery with use of a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery, according to Las Vegas Justice Court records. Harris is also facing a count of discharging a gun at or into an occupied vehicle, court records show. Police said in a news release after Harris’ arrest that Powe was sitting in his car when three men approached him.…
