The Patterdale Terrier mix had been a fixture on the fishing programme for six years, accompanying hosts Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse . Both Mortimer and Whitehouse paid heartfelt tributes to Ted , describing him as a "greatest little chum" and "a species all of his own". Ted belonged to the show's executive producer, Lisa Clark, who rescued him from a dog's home in Surrey when he was six months old.
