First Lady Melania Trump has announced an expansion of the White House ’s long-running honey program, introducing a new beehive shaped like the iconic executive mansion itself. The distinctive addition joins two existing hives that have been a fixture on the south grounds since 2009. The established hives are home to approximately 70,000 bees during peak summer months and collectively yield between 200 and 225 pounds of honey annually.
