How are invasive fish a problem like other invasive species?

I understand the concept of invasive species and why they’re a problem. A rabbit or something in australia has no natural predators so it can just repopulate crazy. With a fish though it’s like isn’t the fish just the same as the other fish. Like can’t an otter or whatever just figure out how to eat a carp instead of a bass. I don’t understand how they can be so different as to be immune from predation.
