So, I am slowly finishing up the Iron Druid series having made it to book 9 Besieged. One think I a:starting to notice is that Atticus is getting harder to redeem as a person through the series. I understand that he is stuck in middle of things outside of his control and is being manipulated, but I also fully believe his cockiness gets him into the situations he finds himself. It feels like Atticus doesn’t actually consider the very real impact his decisions will have on people around him and it gets to a point where there are essentially three core groups of people in his life: They don’t like him but will help him to get him away from them They want to kill him but the enemy of my enemy is my friend They are already dead It also feels like more people want him dead than not. He seems like a selfish, hard-headed, person who doesn’t think about the long-term impact of his choices.…
