Tomorrow is my high school graduation ceremony, and for months I have been worrying about it because I know I won’t like it. My class has over 700 kids in it and I’m friends with about 5 people, 4 of which I see weekly and 1 who has other friends they care about more. Everyone else I don’t know and it’s just gonna be so miserable sitting in a loud auditorium with over 1,000 people for 2+ hours and I know I’m going to get very overwhelmed easily. We have to be at the school at 3 pm even though the graduation doesn’t start until 6 and it’s probably going to end at like 10 which is a very long time for me. What makes me even less compelled to go is that the whole thing will be live-streamed on YouTube, so why would I go to the ceremony in person just to be all anxious and overstimulated the whole time when I can watch the entire thing from the comfort of my own desk.
