Passengers from a cruise ship afflicted by the rare and deadly hantavirus have touched down in Australia before a three-week quarantine. Four Australian citizens, one permanent resident and one New Zealander, who were evacuated from the MV Hondius cruise ship, landed at RAAF Base Pearce near Perth about 1pm AEST on Friday.
