Hey everyone,

was curious how to go about negotiating properly and effectively without being 'bullied' (lack of a term, but not a hostile type) or steered towards a lower wage.

Previously to this, HR asked what I wanted, and I just gave them the middle of the range they offered to slightly above the range they offered. I'm curious what to do and how to approach it when they come to me with the minimum.

I also don't want to fight too hard or ask too high that they pass on me. We have already had all interviews and they're just following up with references now, no 'formal' offer yet but I imagine it's on the horizon.

Any ideas? experience? help???
