And when I say affirmation era, I don’t mean I casually wrote a few sweet things in a journal and moved on with my day. I mean, I was committed. I had affirmations on sticky notes, in my phone, on my mirror, in my notebooks, saved as alarms, repeated on walks, played while I slept, and recited with forced enthusiasm reserved for people trying to convince themselves they are absolutely fine when they are absolutely not. I would say things like: I am magnetic. Money flows to me easily. I am always chosen. Everything works out for me. I am living my dream life now.…
