Baffled by SolarEdge Homeowner vs. Installer Privileges (and Site Transfer) Our installer went belly-up, formally notifying their customer base just a week+ ago. FYI, we activated in December. Nothing particularly newsworthy. But our installer also left some important paperwork undone. This has led me down a rabbit hole of gaining administrative rights to our system, which seems to be going nowhere with SolarEdge. What's really confusing the hell out of me is this: **How/Why does SolarEdge 'cavalierly' allow our defunct Installer (Installer #1) to handover our system credentials to another Installer (Installer #2) yet, somehow, I'm not allowed to get the same credentials to the system WE own using my own newly-created Installer account?!?** To be clear, Installer #1 owes/owed us some things per our contract. But we had no service contract with them whatsoever (and no duty to fulfill outstanding items has been conveyed to Installer #2). We paid for our system in full upfront.…
