The Arizona State Sun Devils Men's Basketball team did not have a great season last year. The Sun Devils had stretches when they looked like they were going to turn it around, and then stretches when all that went away for multiple games. They stayed in a spot that many college basketball teams do not want to be in: the middle of the pack. That is probably the worst spot to be when you are looking to make a lot of noise in college hoops. It was an uphill battle for the Sun Devils all season long as they entered conference play as well. The Big 12 was the best conference in college basketball last season, and it was no secret that it was a grind, with every team having its own star potential.
