Latto has addressed her recent claim that her latest LP, Big Mama , would be her "retirement" album. In a new interview with Nadeska Alexis for Apple Music , the rapper, who recently welcomed her first child with 21 Savage , was asked about her announcement regarding possible retirement by Alexis, who admitted she didn’t believe her. "Remember when we was talking about postpartum depression, good days, bad days?" she replied around the 15-minute mark of the video above. "That was definitely not one of the good days. Experiencing postpartum for the first time, you don’t know what to expect? I kind of underestimated it. That was just one of those days where I was at home and overwhelmed with the album." She admitted that going through the experience of motherhood for the first time hit her harder than she anticipated, and that Big Mama is the last album she's contracted to release through RCA Records. "I was going through it that day," she continued. "Today's a good day. I wouldn’t say I'm retiring today.…
