Skim reading an autobiography...

I'm reading an biography. It's great, it's interesting but I am finding myself wanting to skim read, or skip paragraphs. A bit like-'yeah ok, you lived in this house but I'm not so interested in how it was furnished so I'll jump ahead'.

I very rarely read auto/biographies so I've noticed this tendency.

Just wondering if others do this or not.
