How to stop Push from following Track Selection in Live? (Locking Push 3 to one track)

Hey everyone,

I’m using Push 3 as a MIDI controller to play a hardware synth on a specific MIDI track.

My issue is that whenever I use my mouse to select a different track in Ableton (to tweak an EQ or add effects on the audio track from the hardware synth), the Push automatically switches focus to that new track and I cannot longer play notes on the synth.

I want the Push to stay "locked" to my hardware synth track so I can keep playing the pads/instrument while using my mouse to navigate the rest of the set.

Is there a way to decouple the Push selection from the software track selection?

I basically want the Push to ignore my mouse clicks and stay on the instrument track until I manually change tracks on the Push itself.

Any tips or MaxForLive workarounds for this?
